where does the time go?

I can't believe it's nearly October...less than 100 sleeps 'til Christmas! Where has the year gone? There still seems so much to do and so much sewing to complete!

With that in mind, here are 2 lovely little quilts I'm working on at the moment.

They are the smallest ones I've made so far, measuring 70cm square, and so have gone together super quick! Each panel is the front of a baby t-shirt or onesie with special memories for that child! Love it!

I have used a pattern from Camille Roskelley's book Vintage Modern. It's a great book. Her instructions are so clear and the photo's just make me want to make everything! But as I said...so much to do...so little time!

I foundation pieced the names using scraps and I love how they turned out!

I've pieced one of the quilt backs and will get the other one done today...it's going to be rainbow strips. Then "all" that's left to do is applique the names on, baste, quilt and bind!

Check in next week and see them finished!

Linking up to WIP wednesday at Freshly Pieced! Hello everyone!

Have a great Wednesday!

  2. Nice idea to re-use the worn t-shirts which they children have loved. Reminds me a bit about crazy patchwork although this is a block pattern.
